What is the TechUp scholarship?

The CHECK24 TechUp IT scholarship, provides financial and professional support to ambitious computer science students in Leipzig. We firmly believe that practical experience at a young age lays the foundation for developing great software solutions later in life.

The TechUp scholarship is designed to support passionate IT students in investing time and resources in their own IT projects and thereby expanding their programming skills.

What to expect from the
Coding Challenge

We publish a new coding challenge for each application phase. The current task description, including solution hints, can be found on GitHub at the start of the application phase. Your application for the TechUp scholarship can only be considered if you submit your solution to the coding challenge.

We want the Coding Challenge to be fun and challenging for you, so we provide you with large datasets for you to experiment with.

About the TechUp Scholarship

Financial support

€600 gross per month for a period of 12 months, so that you have more time and flexibility when implementing your software projects and expanding your skills. We hope this will strengthen your passion for software development.

Networking

Share your passion for coding with other IT students and look forward to exclusive events where you can work and learn together with fellow scholarship holders on real-world problems.

Hackathon

Work together with our IT experts on innovative solutions and gain exclusive insights into our technologies and working methods. Develop creative features as part of a team, contribute your ideas and experience how we bring software to life at CHECK24.

Work and learn

The scholarship program will give you an initial insight into the working methods and software development at CHECK24. If you would like to dive deeper and work on production code yourself as part of a working student job or internship, you will always get a place with us as a scholarship holder. Your working hours and your contribution will of course also be remunerated.

Overview of the scholarship program

You can apply under these conditions

You are studying computer science or a closely related field (e.g., business informatics, software engineering) with very good grades
You are passionate about software development and coding, and you invest some of your free time in working on your own IT projects or participating in hackathons.
You live in the Greater Leipzig area, allowing you to have a commute not much longer than one and a half hours to the exclusive scholarship events at the CHECK24 headquarters close to Tröndlinring
You bring curiosity and passion for lean software solutions, a hands-on mentality, and an interest in exchanging knowledge with the other scholarship recipients

Application process

We accept applications for the TechUp scholarship once a year, at the start of the semester in October. To apply, please send us your current CV and your answer to our coding challenge via the online application form by the application deadline.
