What is the TechUp scholarship?

With the CHECK24 TechUp IT scholarship, we provide financial and technical support to ambitious computer science students in Leipzig.
The aim of the TechUp scholarship is to encourage enthusiastic IT students to pursue their own projects by giving them the time and resources they need to develop their programming skills in a targeted manner.

What to expect from the
Coding Challenge

We provide a new coding challenge for each application phase. You can find the current task and helpful hints for solving it on GitHub at the beginning of the application phase. Please note: Your application for the TechUp scholarship can only be considered if you submit a solution to the coding challenge.

It is important to us that you enjoy the coding challenge and find it challenging, so we provide you with large data sets that allow you to demonstrate your skills and try out new things.

About the TechUp Scholarship

Financial support

For a whole year, you will receive €600 from us every month, giving you more freedom and flexibility to implement your own software projects and develop your programming skills in a targeted manner. Our goal: to promote and sustainably strengthen your enthusiasm for software development.

Networking

Exchange ideas with other IT students and share your enthusiasm for programming! At our exclusive events, you will have the opportunity to work with other scholarship holders on practical challenges, learn new things and gain valuable experience.

Hackathon

Work together with our IT experts on innovative solutions and gain exclusive insights into our technologies and working methods. Develop creative features as part of a team, contribute your ideas and experience how we bring software to life at CHECK24.

Work and learn

As a scholarship holder, you will gain exclusive insights into how we work at CHECK24. If you would like to delve deeper, we can secure you a place as a working student or intern – with additional remuneration, of course.

Overview of the scholarship program

You can apply under these conditions

You are studying computer science or a closely related field (e.g., business informatics, software engineering) with very good grades
You are passionate about software development and coding, and you invest some of your free time in working on your own IT projects or participating in hackathons.
You live in the Greater Leipzig area, allowing you to have a commute not much longer than one and a half hours to the exclusive scholarship events at the CHECK24 headquarters close to Tröndlinring
You bring curiosity and passion for lean software solutions, a hands-on mentality, and an interest in exchanging knowledge with the other scholarship recipients

Application process

We accept applications for the TechUp scholarship once a year, at the start of the semester in October. To apply, please send us your current CV and your answer to our coding challenge via the online application form by the application deadline.
